Karla Bejarano is a specialist and leader in Quality Assurance and Food Safety with over 15 years of experience supporting companies in the food and manufacturing industries in optimizing their processes and ensuring regulatory compliance. Her approach focuses on integrating risk management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement to mitigate non-quality costs and ensure operational food safety. Throughout her executive and managerial career at companies such as Hershey México, Georgia Pacific, and Coca-Cola FEMSA, she has led the implementation and auditing of Integrated Management Systems under international standards, including FSSC 22000 and SQF (Level 3). Her areas of expertise include leading HACCP teams, managing microbiological and physicochemical laboratories, developing and approving suppliers, ensuring process traceability, and providing guidance on the start-up and launch of new products.
She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering for Quality, and she is passionate about building and developing high-performance teams. In her work as a consultant and instructor, she integrates time management tools and leadership skills to strengthen the food safety culture, enhance operational efficiency, and align operational excellence with the strategic objectives of organizations.
She is also trained and certified in key food safety and quality programs, including SQF, FSSC 22000, Advanced HACCP, Better Process Control School for low-acid and acidified canned foods, and Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)
