As 2021 winds down and carries us into 2022, I’d like to take this opportunity to let you know how much TAG appreciates your ongoing readership and business. We understand that our success is based on your success and look forward to continuing to serve you through 2022 and beyond.
2021 was a challenging year, that came off a prior challenging year, and looks to be continuing into another challenging year as we move into 2022. The years are testing businesses in all industries, with particular impact on the food industry – from farm to retail and foodservice. But, in spite of it all, I have seen an industry that has navigated the increased risks and difficulties extremely well. I am proud to be a part of the industry and your success, whether through consultation, customized services, or general communication and education.
As we move into the new year, I’d like to share with you a look back at TAG’s year, and what our 2021 expansions in resources, bandwidth and services mean to you.
First and foremost was the continued expansion of the TAG team and expertise. Early in the year, we brought on Ruth Petran as a Senior Advisor to assist in various capacities, including the vast expansion of our public health services (which I’ll get to in a moment). We also hired a number of Food Safety Directors, including Sam Davidson, who joins our team in Canada and expands our capabilities in animal foods and welfare; Brent Kobielush who increases TAG’s toxicology capabilities and services; and Ranjeet Klair who is enabling our expansion into India. We also increased our administrative capabilities with the addition of Megan Keida. TAG now has 20 direct associates along with 6 partnered consultants/senior advisors – all committed to the service of our clients.
In the public health arena, TAG parlayed the extensive knowledge of our medical and infectious disease experts with the learnings and experiences gained through the pandemic to create a new client offering: FORESIGHT 20/20: Infectious Disease Hazard Analysis & Risk Management. Focused on the fact that foresight is not about predicting the future, but about minimizing surprise, the program enables advance preparedness to help ensure your business continuity throughout an infectious disease event – global or local.
TAG also expanded our global footprint, incorporating in Canada; expanding our international offerings, with a key focus on Latin America and India; and expanding our partnership programs – all of which further enables TAG’s capabilities for your multi-national business.
As we look ahead to 2022, our intent is to further these and many other expertise and service areas, continually enhancing our offerings for our clients. We know that many of the challenges faced during 2021 will be continuing into 2022, and all of us at TAG are committed and prepared to assist your efforts as we work together into the future.
Last, but of course not least, I like to extend wishes from all of us at TAG for a happy and prosperous 2022 for you and your employees and families. We sincerely appreciate your business.
