SUMMARY:Virtual Human Food PCQI Training
DESCRIPTION:Virtual Human Food PCQI Training \nFSMA requires that food facilities have their Preventive Controls Rule for Human Food-mandated Food Safety Plan written and overseen by at least one Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI). The PCQI must have successfully completed adequate training or be otherwise qualified through job experience. \nTAG is offering a virtual Human Food PCQI training on June 6-8\, 2022 delivered by Food Safety Advisor\, Dr. Ruth Petran\, and Associate of Food Safety\, Dr. Lily Yang. TAG training follows the standardized curriculum developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and recognized by the FDA. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion after successful completion of the training. \n*$795 per person plus training materials and shipping fees. \nRegister here.

SUMMARY:Food Safety Tech Hazards Series: Listeria
DESCRIPTION:The CDC estimates that nearly 48 million people fall ill and 3000 people die annually as a result of foodborne illness. Listeria is a concern due to the high percentage of fatalities that occur as a result of contracting Listeriosis. Many of these cases are preventable. During this virtual event\, experts will discuss tangible best practices in Listeria detection\, mitigation\, and control. \nIn this webinar TAG’s Vice President of Regulatory and Scientific Affairs\, Dr. Ben Miller\, will present the session: Continued Complexity of Monitoring and Controlling Listeria Monocytogenes. In 2017\, the FDA released draft guidance for the control of Listeria monocytogenes in Ready-To-Eat (RTE) food. Since then\, the food industry has continued to experience outbreaks of this pathogen\, sometimes coming from new and novel sources. This presentation will discuss some of the more complex issues around L. mono monitoring and control\, including food-contact surface testing\, emerging detection technologies\, and when it might make sense to genetically sequence L. mono found in your facilities. \nRegister here
